Death Valley foi uma das nossas paragens, quando estavamos a caminho de Yosemite, vindos do Grand Canyon. Como não tinhamos muitos dias, decidimos não ficar muito tempo no Death Valley e ainda bem que o fizemos. O Death Valley foi, para mim, o menos interessante. Talvez porque o calor era mais que muito e não nos permitia aproveitar nada, ou talvez porque o tipo de natureza não é o que mais me atrai, mas a verdade é que dispensava la ter passado.
Fomos de carro dar uma volta ao parque nacional do Death Valley, paramos por volta das 10h no deserto para tirar umas fotografias e rebolar na areia e depois seguimos para as restantes coisas a visitar. Tornou-se quase impossivel sair do carro, em pleno Março o calor era infernal, o sol queimava muito e passear tornou-se desagradavel.
Foi giro como experiencia? Foi.
Voltava la? Não.
Aconselhava alguém a ir? Sinceramente dependeria. Se não tiverem muito tempo, não. Se tiverem muito tempo e puderem perder um dia, então sim.
Deixo-vos algumas das fotografias que tirei, incluindo o restaurante mexicano DELICIOSO onde comemos (se la passarem tem que ir la comer).
Para os mais curiosos: ficamos a dormir no hotel Longstreet Inn & Casino, relativamente perto do parque, super simpaticos. Aconselho :)
Death Valley was one of our stops when we were on our way to Yosemite from the Grand Canyon. As we didn't have that many days to spare, we decided not to stay long in Death Valley and I am glad we did it. Death Valley was, to me, the least interesting. Maybe because it was to warm and we couldn't enjoy the park that much, or maybe because the nature type is not what attracts me the most, but the truth is: for me, I wouldn't mind to not have passed through Death Valley.
We drove around the Death Valley National Park, stopped at around 10 am in the desert to take some pictures and roll in the sand, and then we drove around to see the rest of the things. It became almost impossible to get out of the car: in the middle of March the heat was already too much, the sun was burning a lot and walking around became unpleasant.
Was it an experience? Will I come back? Nop, I will probably not.
Would I advise anyone to go? It honestly would depend. If you do not have much time, no. If you have a lot of time and could miss a day, then yes.
