Mariiana Capela: Las Vegas

Las Vegas foi a nossa primeira paragem. Quando planeámos a viagem, uma das coisas que TINHAMOS que fazer era ver Las Vegas. Nenhum de nós é fã de casinos, nenhum de nós é fã deste tipo de vida, mas queríamos ver de perto aquilo que se vê nos filmes. Queríamos experimentar uma noite em Las Vegas.

Não fotografei muito, estava cansada, com fome e sinceramente não havia muito para fotografar. É verdade que Las Vegas não dorme. Há imensas luzes por todo o lado, colunas de música nas ruas, os hoteis têm plataformas entre eles para que as pessoas possam fazer a strip de Las Vegas por dentro dos hoteis, os casinos têm uma iluminação que não nos permite perceber que já é tarde, há animações a toda a hora, as bebidas são gratuitas e entre tantas outras coisas.

O hotel onde ficámos era em forma de castelo. Os quartos estavam situadas nas torres laterais e o casino no castelo. Adorei-o, as pessoas foram simpáticas, o castelo é giro, está bastante bem situado e os quartos eram confortáveis e limpos. Se estiverem a pensar lá ir, dêem uma vista de olhos no Excalibur. Às vezes é possível apanhar óptimas promoções.

Apesar de ter gostado da experiência, não tenciono voltar a Las Vegas. Não fazia ideia, mas Las Vegas está situada no meio do deserto e o consumo desnecessário de água e luz é absurdo. Durante a viagem passámos por uma estrada distante e dava para ver Las Vegas coberta por uma nuvem luminosa alaranjada. Aquilo, todos os dias do ano, 24 horas por dia. Não pode, de todo, fazer bem ao nosso planeta.

Foi uma experiência, da qual não me arrependo mas que não voltarei a repetir. Há tantas coisas bonitas para ver por lá!

Las Vegas was our first stop. When we planned this trip to the US, one of the things that we HAD to do was to see Las Vegas. None of us are a fan of casinos, none of us are fans of this kind of life, but we wanted to see closely what we see in the movies. We wanted to experience one night in Las Vegas.

I did not photograph much, I was tired, hungry and honestly there was not much to photograph. It's true that Las Vegas does not sleep. There are lots of lights everywhere, music columns in the streets, hotels have platforms between them so people can make the Las Vegas strip inside the hotels, the casinos have a lighting that does not allow us to realize how late it is, there are animations all the time, drinks are free and so many other things.

The hotel we stayed in was castle shaped. The rooms were located in the side towers and the casino in the castle. I loved it, the staff was friendly, the castle is cute, it's quite well situated and the rooms were comfortable and clean. If you are thinking of going there, take a look at Excalibur. Sometimes it is possible to get great deals.

Although I enjoyed the experience, I do not intend to return to Las Vegas. I had no idea, but Las Vegas is situated in the middle of the desert and the unnecessary consumption of water and light is absurd. During our trip we passed on a distant road and we could see Las Vegas covered by a luminous orange cloud. That, every day of the year, 24 hours a day. It can not, at all, do good to our planet.

It was an experience that I do not regret but will never repeat. There are so many beautiful things to see in the US!
