Fomos a Londres,em Novembro, de fim-de-semana. Se há coisa que gosto em viver em Bruxelas, é estar tão perto de tantas grandes cidades. Foi um fim-de-semana que passou bastante rápido mas que foi tão preenchido. Foi a minha primeira vez por lá e o objectivo?: Comer! Sim, comer. Londres está cheia de restaurantes veganos e queríamos experimentar tanto quanto pudessemos. Para mim, o que mais queria experimentar era a Unity diner. Uma non-profit diner que abriu muito recentemente cujos lucros vão para apoiar a Surge e para abrir um sanctuário por lá. Fomos super bem recebidos, bastante bem servidos, comemos até rebentar e não podia estar mais feliz de ter finalmente conhecido este sitio. Valeu tanto a pena!
No Sábado de manhã, mal chegámos partimos logo em direcção ao Borough market para tomarmos o pequeno almoço antes de ir almoçar ao Unity Diner. O Borough market tem bastantes opções, não todas veganas. Comi um belo de um hamburguer e a minha cara de felicidade quando vi o aspecto da comida fez as senhoras que estavam lá a trabalhar dizerem-me "também estamos muito contentes de te ver". Se um dia forem lá, estes são dois sitios a visitar! :)
We went to London, in November, for a weekend. If there's one thing I like about living in Brussels, it's being so close to so many big cities. That weekend went quite fast but it was amazing. It was my first time visiting London and our goal was to eat! Yes, to eat. London is full of vegan restaurants and we wanted to try as much as we could. For me, what I wanted to visit the most was the Unity diner. A non-profit diner that opened very recently whose profits go to support the Surge and to open a sanctuary there. We were super well received, fairly well served, we ate a lot and I couldn't be happier for having finally visited this place. It was so worth it!
On Saturday morning, after we arrived, we went to the Borough Market for breakfast before going to the Unity Diner for lunch. The Borough market has quite a few options, not all vegans. I ate a nice burger. My face of happiness when I saw the food made the ladies who were there working tell me "we are also very glad to see you". If you ever go there, these are two places to visit! :)
