Verão

Será cliché esta falta que o mar e o sol fazem a quem está longe? Quando estamos longe, começamos a ver a nossa casa com outros olhos. Portugal hoje significa para mim sol (mesmo em tempos de chuva), fruta, mar e paz. Portugal hoje tem encantos que nunca antes vi (ou dei importância). 

É por isso que quando vou a Portugal, me encho de fruta, passo a maior parte do meu tempo a ver o mar e tento aproveitar cada segundo perto dos meus.

Estas fotografias foram tiradas no sul de Portugal, num dos meus sítios favoritos. Vê-se que não sou a única a adorar voltar a casa?

Is it normal that those who are far away miss the sun and the sea this much? When we are far away, we start to see our home with different eyes. For me, today, Portugal means sun (even in times of rain), fruit, sea and peace. Portugal today has charms that I have never seen before (or gave importance to). 

That is why when I go to Portugal, I surround myself with fruit, I spend most of my time watching the sea and I try to enjoy every second close to those who I miss the most. 

These photos were taken in the south of Portugal, in one of my favorite places. Is it obvious that I am not the only one who loves to come home?

Estou desaparecida, eu sei. A verdade é que conciliar escola, trabalho, cursos extra-curriculares e vida pessoal não deixa muito tempo livre para outras coisas. Fotografar é uma delas.
Sempre que tenho tempo (e disposição) pego na máquina fotográfica e aí vou eu. E estas duas são sem duvida uma fonte de disposição. Alegres, divertidas, tão especiais. Estas fotografias foram tiradas em Fevereiro, antes do lockdown ter começado. Não foi assim há tanto tempo e elas já estão tão diferentes.

I've been away, I know. The truth is that reconciling school, work, extra-curricular courses and personal life does not leave much time for other things. Photographing is one of them.
Whenever I have time (and I am up to it) I take the camera and here I go. And these two are undoubtedly a source of inspiration. Joyful, fun, so special. These pictures were taken in February, before the lockdown started. It wasn't that long ago and they are so different already.
